Wichita, Kansas — The Wichita Thunder snapped an eight-game losing skid with a 3-1 win over the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees at the Kansas Coliseum Saturday night. Jason Duda had a pair of goals while Bill Zaniboni made 35 saves for the win.
The Thunder took a 2-1 lead into the third period on goals by Jason Duda and Kyle Bruce. Bruce punched home a rebound to the left of A.J. Bucchino just 12 seconds into Wichita’s fourth power play.Â
Robin Big Snake scored Rio’s only goal at 6:57 of the first period. Bucchino made 35 saves in the loss.
The Bees will have to regroup quickly with Laredo visiting the Dodge Arena on Tuesday night at 7:35 p.m. All tickets for the game are 2-for-1.

Good job A.J. for only your second time between the posts
we should have won the game. The guys played hard the shots on goal were even. I think the refs were part of the problem with tonights game. That just my opinion.

Hey, can they go back and review the game. I think there
was more then one time the ref did not mark thunder
penaltys like when the smash on Voltera’s.. bigsnike why he
couldn’t control himself -cost us a goal…get him out. we need good defensive team not a good fightng team.
you need to be smarter than them If ihe is going to go into
a fight get one of the best players from the opponent team
not somebody that’s nobody…
good effort==have a safe trip-we will see u on the 12th.

There’s not a player on the THUNDER team thats a NOBODY. All THUNDER players are somebody….
