A COMPLETE EMBARRASSMENT
By admin | February 6, 2008
By now most of you have heard about Coach Fixter’s wife being assaulted at the last game. My understanding of it is that some knucklehead verbally attacked her and as she was trying to walk away, he put his hands up to stop her, causing her to fall. Whatever the case, surveillance video is being combed and hopefully we’re able to find the idiot that is responsible.
Word travels fast in this business. To say people in the hockey world are mortified would be an understatement. I’d personally like to thank you for making the recruiting job even tougher next season.
Well, time to finish packing up for this week’s road trip. The team hops on the bus tonight for a 10 p.m. departure to Tulsa. Expecting an arrival sometime around 11 a.m. with a practice to follow shortly after.
I’m told Tulsa does not have a CHL Network feed, meaning if you want to follow the action you need to A) Listen online or B) listen on the radio.
Nice to see another former CHL-er make the jump to the NHL.

please pass on my sincere apologies to Mrs Fixter for this horrendous act by a coward who calls itself a fan. i was so embarrassed during the game on saturday when i heard fans booing our team.everyone has rights, but if you do not like what is going on, do not go to the game.i believe that our guys will get it together .we just need to back them up and support them, not boo them.coach fixter makes the changes that he feels are the right ones for the team, lets back him up

this kind of fan behavior is absolutely obscene and totally unacceptable in any sport. this is the first I have heard about this and it upsets me to know that some ‘fan’ would act violently toward anyone, much less the wife of a coach, at a hockey game. this sport gets a bad name for a lot of reasons and this type of problem should be nipped in the bud, so to speak, and the jerk responsible should have to be held legally accountable for his actions. so here is my message “hey bud, stop acting like an imbecile and grow up or go to jail for assaulting Mrs. Fixter.”

What? is this true? I didn’t hear anything about this? This is terrible! I’m not sure if I want to take my family to the games if this is what the drunk fans are doing. that’s not right. what assurances do we have that this behavior won’t happened to our family. I realize that we’re no one of importance’s but this happening really opens my eyes to things around the arena.
David, all of our fans are someone of importance. I truly mean that. Don’t let this one idiot make you think twice about supporting the team. There’s no assurances anywhere you go, but we do our best to make sure this type of stuff does not happen. Think about it; 150-plus games and this is the first time something like this has happend. You could have some drunk guy stumble into your kids at Six Flags.

I am shocked that someone would accost Mrs. Fixter in this way! That kind of behavior is so beyond acceptable. I hope she is ok. Its just a game!!! Having said that, I was at the game and the performance in the first two periods deserved a good booing! There’s nothing wrong with a good booing and it dosent mean we support the team any less; they just needed to wake up. The support is there as shown in the third period when the hive erupted for the three meaningless goals. Fans are just sick of the total lack of hustle and drive by guys who obviously have the talent. Still doesn’t excuse what happened.

stupid guy someone should kick his a** he has no right doing that to her. this happen during the last game this sucks where was the security. sorry about this mrs fixter
mary ann i know what you are talking about it was not nice i felt like crying to tell you the truth then we had some fans cherring for the other team what was that about. those are the people that should not call themselves fans. but that moment did suck the players are the best even if they lose there game we are still there for them 110% my husband and i love going to the games. oh and my daughter she loves it she is all the reason why we bought season tickets. she loves everything about the games

I feel the same way Mary Ann does and we don’t need fans that are rude, we have had that experience in Laredo. We need to back our boys up when they are up or down.
Go Bees….Good luck on the road.

Don’t panic David Miller. Weirdo’s, Phsyco’s, mental morons and deliquent a’holes are everywhere you go, so don’t think going to the hockey game at the dodge is a bad place because of degenerates like this. When you go to the mall, the grocery store or the gas station, they are there. Don’t paint the entire the Killer Bee Team and organization with the same brush that physo used.
As for the booing. I will have never done that and I think it is also disgusting, but you know, I think the players may say they deserved it. Just a gut feeling, since I’ve been there, as a player. When you stink the joint out you feel like a lashing and it makes you want to be better. I’m not saying any player likes it but I think they get it. I still personally think it is one of the lowest things to do whether the a team is doing bad or not.

Just a replay to the anti-”booers.” I think its a little strong to say booing is disgusting. How else can the fans let the team know we are not happy? Despite the boos and lopsided score, the seats were pretty full to then end and the Bees got plenty of cheers when they stepped up their game and scored in the third.
I’ve been to a Spurs game this year (the current world champs no less) where the Spurs got booed by the home crowd for some horribly lackluster play. I think players get it. Players get frustrated and take it out on each other. Frustrated fans have no other outlet.
Booing is a wake up call and in this case, I hope it worked!
