GAME NOTES, JAN. 21

By admin | January 22, 2008

Here’s the game notes for this week’s games at Rocky Mountain and Colorado.

Similar to what happened to me in New Mexico, the altitude and cold weather has me in a fit. I’m congested with a runny nose, yet dry as a bone. I’ve been running the shower just to get some humidity in the room here. Please, anyone, send along some home remedies.

Sunday’s CHL results were odd to say the least. Even the weekend in general. Just when you think you can’t take anymore kicks between the legs, Corpus and Austin mangle the Bucks.

The rental car we have here in Boulder has XM Radio. Today, while driving around we tuned in the NY Islanders/Carolina game and got to here our old pal Steve Mears calling the game for the Isles. If you have a chance, listen to Mearsy online, he calls a good game. Mearsy of course is the old Bossier-Shreveport PBP guy. And Kinger is one of the top color guys in the biz and a great guy as well.

I should mention Ken Kal in Detroit…he and Paul Woods are a classic NHL radio tandem. If you love the game, take a few minutes and listen some night.
