GAME NOTES, JAN. 26

Saturday, January 26th, 2008

Here’s this weekend’s game notes and Statwiz. Statwiz is a pretty neat Excel-based system my friend Mike, with a ton of help, developed while in Worcester. Essentially, you plug in the game stats and it updates the rest of the stuff on its own.
Both games this weekend will be broadcast on KURV 710 Talk Radio, […]

I don’t blindly support a coach or the decisions he makes. If I second-guess something he does, I don’t […]

MUNDANE MONDAY

Monday, January 7th, 2008

Whew. I’m pooped from the weekend. Since “all” I do is announce the game, I can’t imagine how gassed the players are. Despite getting whooped at Corpus, I still feel like the weekend was a success.
Obviously, from a hockey perspective, three out of six points is “so-so.” But considering who those three points came against […]

GAME NOTES, JAN. 5

Saturday, January 5th, 2008

Here’s tonight’s updated game-notes.
What a game last night and what a penalty kill in the second period on Warriner’s major. Little things like that (if you can call that little) are the momentum builders to turning a nightmare into the dream where you win the lottery.

Tonight’s game will be one to remember, win or lose. […]
