BEES RELEASE EDINGER, RE-SIGN SILVER

Hidalgo, Texas — The Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees of the Central Hockey League today announced that the club has waived forward Adam Edinger and re-signed forward Jared Silver. In another move, defenseman Jason Slusher was activated from the 14-day injured reserve.

Edinger appeared in 25 games for the Bees, posting eight points (4-4-8) and 44 PIM. “We gave Adam an opportunity with this organization and it didn’t work out,” said Killer Bees Head Coach Paul Fixter. “As with any other veteran player we expect more. We have a certain level of expectations to be met and no one is exempt from that.”

Silver has appeared in 16 games with the Bees this season and has one goal. His lone tally and first as a pro came in a 6-4 win over Corpus Christi on Nov. 17.

Slusher returns to the lineup after missing four games on the injured reserve list. In 21 games he has four points (1-3-4) and 32 PIM.

The Bees face off against Corpus Christi on both Friday and Saturday night at 7:30 p.m. at Dodge Arena.
