BEES SUFFER 4-2 LOSS TO BUCKS

Hidalgo, Texas—In their second match-up in three days the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees could not overcome the power of the Laredo Bucks suffering the 4-2 loss Saturday night at the Dodge Arena.
Jeff Bes came up with the game-winner at the 4:45 mark in the second, with Brent MacSween sealing the deal midway through the third at 9:17 leaving the Bucks undefeated at 8-0.
It was an intense first period with Rio scoring first on a David Masse shot at 7:59, but Bucks’ left wing Steve Simoes tied things up with just 2:15 left in the period.
Laredo notched another goal early in the second at 4:52, but Bees newcomer Jon Hedberg tied things up once again. Just 13 seconds later Jeff Bes banging home the game-winner for Laredo giving them the lead 3-2 going into the last period.
Laredo’s Brent MacSween notched one more in the third giving the Bucks their eighth straight win on the season and advancing their record to 8-0.
Dustin Traylen captured his fifth win in net this season stopping 23 of 25 shots taken by Rio. David Lemanowicz suffered the loss with 35 saves on 39 shots.
Next up for the Bees will be yet another home game at the Dodge Arena on Friday, November 9, when they will face off with the Odessa Jackalopes. Game time is set for 7:30p.m.
NOTES
- Rio’s Dennis Maxwell and Laredo’s James Heibert dropped the gloves early in the game, although they didn’t start quite as early as Thursday night. They still started things off at the 1:09 mark in the first; Thursday they started just one minute into the game.
-David Masse added one more goal in his quest for 100 career goals leaving; he currently has 94.
-Laredo out shot Rio tonight 39-23 , and both teams went a combined 0-for-9 on the power play.

THE GAME WAS REALLY BAD CERTAIN PLAYERS JUST DIDN’T SEEM TO BE IN THE GAME. MAYBE IN TIME THINGS
WILL GEL. THERE A COUPLE PLAYER THAT JUST NEED TO BE UNLOADED. THEY JUST DON’T SEEM TO LISTEN TO THE
PLAYER/COACH WHEN HE TRIES TO TELL WHAT TO WATCH FOR.
