By admin | October 31, 2007
By now, most fans have read Brian Sandalow’s article “Bees Shrug off Locker Room Altercation.”

Truth is, this type of thing happens more often than you’d think. That’s not to say the Bees are a dysfunctional group; I’m talking about in general, in any locker room, with any pro (or even college) team. Put 20 people together in one room and it’s a given not everyone gets along all that great all the time. Think about where you work. Which also isn’t to say guys are at each other’s throats every day. I’ve seen teams where guys absolutely can’t stand each other, and from what I can tell this is not one of them.
I talked to both Looby and Maxwell yesterday and after practice today and both said it’s behind them.
–The first Coach’s Show of the year is this coming Tuesday (Nov. 6) at 6 p.m. This year the monthly show will be at RA’s (3000 N. McColl) in McAllen. I’ve received confirmation that there will be a championship rematch between Nick Warriner and trainer Jorge Garcia in the ever-popular POINTLESS TRIVIA series, scheduled for the 2nd half hour of the show. One winner will be crowned every week, with a championship battle royal cage match set for the final show. The winner will receive a fabulous prize and title belt.
–Thursday’s and Saturday’s games will be broadcast on ESPN Radio 1240 AM. Friday’s game will be on KURV 710 Talk Radio; Saturday night’s game will also be telecast on XERV-9, Cable 19 (Televisa).
