BEES SET OPENING NIGHT ROSTER, NAME CAPTAINS

Hidalgo, TexasThe Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees of the Central Hockey League today announced its opening roster and team captains for the 2007-08 Fifth Anniversary Season, which begins tomorrow at Dodge Arena.

The Bees open the season with 18 players on the active roster and two more on injured reserve. Teams may carry up to 19 players on the roster this season, but may only dress 18 per game.

Prior to the 3 p.m. roster deadline, the team made the following transactions:

- Signed D Jason Slusher and F Dan Stastny

- Waived C Tristan Senior

- D Tyler Fuller and F Jared Silver placed on 14-day injured reserve

Captains

The team named Rob Voltera as Captain. Dennis Maxwell and David Masse will serve as Alternate Captains at home, while Adam Edinger and Jeremy Van Hoof will serve as Alternate Captains on the road.
