Troy Nelson

President/Owner


Born in Harlingen, Troy is a lifelong hockey fan and is the President and Owner of the Killer Bees. A business owner in the Valley for more than 15 years, he assumed ownership of the franchise in 2006. Despite growing up between the Valley and the Dallas Metroplex, Troy was a New York Islanders fans until the Dallas Stars relocated from Minnesota in 1993. His passion for the game led to his ownership of the Killer Bees with the desire to maintain the success and promote the longevity of hockey in South Texas. He and his wife Sandy have three children; Haley, Lindsey and Ryan.
