Robert (Sergeant) Slaughter moves from Wichita, Kansas, to join the Killer Bees for his first year in professional hockey after spending the last nine years in professional baseball. He has worked for the Wichita Wranglers, Carolina Mudcats, Wichita Wingnuts and the National Baseball Congress while doing just about everything from sponsorship and ticket sales to stadium operations and working with the grounds crew. He began his career in sports on the food and beverage side with SportService. Robert attended Wichita State University taking courses in Music, Radio and Sports Administration. A fun fact about Wichita State University….their football has been undefeated since 1987 (ask him, he will explain it to you). Robert has five children (two daughters and three sons) as well as two grandsons who still reside in the Wichita area. He is looking forward to talking with them this winter while they are fighting ice and snow.
