Diane Atkinson

Director, Marketing and Corporate Sales

Diane is a native of the Virginia Beach/Tidewater area of Virginia. She majored in Business Administration and Public Relations and pursued a marketing background in Health Care Management. She has over 17 years in sales and marketing experience with hospitals along the east coast and with the HCA Corporation. Now in her second stint with the Killer Bees, Diane received the second-highest Corporate Sales Award in the CHL. In the team's first year of operation, she played a vital role in helping the Killer Bees earn the 2004 CHL Franchise of the Year Award. Diane’s achievements include receiveing the Frist Humanitarian Award from the HCA Corporation. Diane was elected as Ambassador of the Year for the McAllen Chamber, in 2006 and continues to represents the Chamber as an ambassador. Ms. Atkinson has served on the Boards of the American Heart Association, American Diabetes Association, March of Dimes, and Doc’s for Tot’s, and the Cimarron Country Club membership committee. Diane was also Director of the Killer Bee Foundation during its first two years. Diane was recently accepted to Leadership McAllen, class XXIX. In addition, Diane was recently sponsored to the Organization of Women Executives. Diane is an active member of the International Bar-B-Que Association and also serves on the Killer Bee Foundation golf committee. Ms. Atkinson resides in McAllen Texas, with her husband, Lee, and has three children.
